About Us

Our Cattery

Welcome to Happy Whiskers Cattery. We are a small in-home cattery in scenic Muskoka, located in the beautiful town of Huntsville, Ontario. All of our cats are Purebred British Shorthair or Scottish Straight registered with CCA (Canadian Cat Association) or TICA (The International Cat Association). Our cattery itself is also registered with CCA and TICA. Our cats all live with us (kings separate from queens) and are raised around our children and dogs. Our kittens are hand raised and grow being loved and are socialized from birth. Our cats and kittens are raised as part of our family and roam free, never caged.

Our Mission

Happy Whiskers is dedicated to unite people and families with these amazing, loving and gentle breeds.

British shorthair and Scottish Straights are highly intelligent, very loving, loyal and in our opinion, a great addition to any family. Generally these breeds are known as easy going teddy bears, and love interaction with people and other animals. They have extremely soft fur that is lush, thick and full. They are usually interested in what you are doing as they love to be near you and are highly inquisitive.

We here at Happy Whiskers feel rewarded when families get to know these breeds as we have. As a breeder there is nothing better than seeing pictures of kittens bred at Happy Whiskers growing with their new families. It's a great feeling when the new families rant and rave to us about how social and loving our kittens are. These beautiful and gentle cats stole our hearts and we are sure they will steal yours as well.
